Our company was founded by James Prescott in 2002 building a reputation for quality, experience, attention to detail and customer satisfaction. We were founded originally from trading in the hire of all manner of Plant, Excavators, Dumpers, Telehandlers, Rollers Wagons and other varieties of Plant all from our premises in Wrightington, near Wigan. Since then we have built our own team to undertake any work included in Civil Engineering, Grab Hire and Plant Hire ourselves.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend JA Prescott Plant Hire LTD for block paving and garden drainage. Five years ago the garden was a bog, but now we don’t have any problems, whatever the weather.
Our machines are renewed regularly and maintained to the highest specification at our Wigan base.

Our Operators are all qualified by CPCS and highly responsive to changing environments on site. Our staff are led on to a tender manner of construction. We are based near Wigan, Greater Manchester and will undertake any work in and around the North West of England.
Our fully trained staff have over 20 years experience in the construction industry in the North West.
We possess all the necessary qualifications and certifications to work on any site at any level. We value our exemplary Health & Safety and we have NEBOSH qualified staff and prepare all our own site specific documents in-house.
We can undertake any construction work, although specialise in groundworks, sub-base preparation, street works, landscaping, block paving, drainage, sewage, kerb edging, demolition, concrete breaking, site clearance, fencing, stone and brickwork. All work undertaken in and around the North West of England.
Plant Hire
We offer a minimum of 1 day hire to long term hires in Lancashire and Greater Manchester, offering discount to plant hires in excess of 1 month. Our equipment is serviced regularly in Wigan and backed up with our quality assurance.
Tipper/Grab Hire
Based in Wigan and conveniently located just off J27 on the M6, we are able to efficiently cover areas throughout the North West. Specialising in the removal of inert waste, site clearance, and Demolition projects.
Aggregates
We are based in Wrightington, near Wigan, Greater Manchester and we can supply and deliver a wide range of building aggregate, ranging from crush brick to type 1 MOT, sand, grit sand and much more to sites across the North West.
Civil Engineering
Site clearance, excavations, demolition, piling, foundations, road forming, concreting, road openings, temporary roads, sewerage connections and installations, block paving and flagging in and around the North West of England.
